Off to Leeds tomorrow. Somehow have to fit in college and hairdresser's before catching the train. >.<  And then, apparently, going to have to shoot things on Sunday and meet my pumpkin's best friend. :D Hope will be back on Monday in time for the swords training.

Thanks :D I've read his "Mother tongue" ages ago, but for some reason haven't read anything else until this week ("Made in America"), taking his "Notes from a small country" with me on the train. :DD He's just brilliant.

I was first introduced to him through A short history of the world which is such a hefty book but quite fun for a nerd like me to read. He gets some of the facts wrong, but that's not really all that important. *g*

I used Mother Tongue as a source of info when I was learning Linguistics a few years ago. *g*
