From [profile] teh_elb1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.

2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.

3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.

4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

This a fragment of painting by Fra Angelico, perhaps my favourite Renaissance artist. There is a quality to his colours and lines that I've not seen in any other works of the period, a quality I can't quite describe but it is beautiful. I had to have an icon that featured his work.

Again a fragment of a painting. This time by my favourite marine painter, Aivazovsky. This particular picture features a smuggler: useful for criminal posts. XD

Originally, a cover for a fanmix, that picture was turned into an icon, cause I just can't resist a ripe orange. ^^

Count Tolstoy-Ostermann (or other way round ¬.¬),  another Napoleonic Era figure. There is something in his portrait that attracted me, especially the expressivness of the fingers of one 'visible' hand. Maybe it is to do with the knowledge that he lost the other.

More answers for the association meme, from  [profile] generals_best

1. Hunter.

Well... Hunter owns me. He is the first original character of my own to truly develop a personality. He's somewhat of an obsession of mine. He is many things: both bad and good, but even if bad outweigh the good, he has truly come alive for me.

2. Scotland.

My second home. Enough said.

3. Midnight cooking.

I am a food lover. Also I am a freak. If I want a cake at midnight, I damn well will bake one and ain't no one gonna stop me. Besides, if I do cook than I cook a lot, and sometimes I don't have enough time during the day to do it.

4. Country Music.

A recent love of mine. I first became interested in it when doing some research into a fandom character who listened a lot to Johnny Cash. Can't say I love Johnny Cash as much as that character, but I can say I now own lots of country CDs.

5. Hug'n'Kisses.

I talk a lot. And yet, in certain circumstances I feel that my words are inadequate. If I can show my support, love, compassion with hugs and kissed then why not?

Dr.Johnson: Jesus is the general, and the archangel Michael is his right-hand dude, you know, Star Trek's Number One or whatever...
Student: Wow, Jesus goes sci-fi.

And O_O at books.
